DETECTIVES investigating a botched raid in which a suspected robber died have not charged any suspects a year on.
Clint Townsend, 33, died after he was apprehended by members of the public at the scene of a robbery at John Gowing Jewellers in Oxford’s Covered Market.
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery following the March 30 incident, two of which have been on bail for a year now.
There will not be an inquest into the circumstances surrounding Mr Townsend’s death until after criminal proceedings finish.
Thames Valley Police remained tight-lipped about the progress of their investigation yesterday.
