SPEEDING tickets were handed out to 20 drivers in Wallingford yesterday morning.

PC Mark Pilling, from roads policing, said the Reading Road 30mph check also resulted in fines issued to three people not wearing seatbelts and he said a car was seized as the driver had no insurance, pictured.

The speed check took place from 8.30am to 10am.

Drivers were fined £100 and given three points on their licences for speeding, a £100 fine for not wearing a seatbelt, and a £300 ticket and six points for not having insurance.

Perhaps PC Pilling and his mates should have a look at the Botley to Eynsham road around 16:00 to !8:00 hrs to check for drivers on mobile phones. They would reap a harvest of untold riches as the same old-same old are busy driving one handed while on the phone to suppliers for their next day deliveries etc. A shocking reflection of our local tradesmen who blatantly flout the law daily.

Pure money making on behalf of TVP..otherwise they would have stopped the two cyclists riding side by side instead of the car that had to get round them. Maybe try targeting illegal parking in the town centre too.....8 cars on Wood Street and similar along St Johns Road, all causing traffic to back up. Ridiculous!!!
