A main route through the city will close today for up to two weeks as work is done to remove a “fatberg” from a sewer.
Part of Park End Street will be closed until April 21 so a build-up of fat, wet wipes and other litter can be removed from a partially collapsed sewer.
Traffic delays of up to 45 minutes are expected and buses routes that use the Frideswide Square area will be changed.
Barriers between George Street and Hythe Bridge Street have been removed to allow vehicles through.
