THE Armed Forces were celebrated at Oxford United’s home game against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
The Military Day at the Kassam Stadium included Army vehicles on display and free activities such as laser clay pigeon shooting and paintball.
The event was organised by the club and was backed by fan organisation the Yellow Army.
The Yellow Army was founded last summer to raise funds for the Oxford United Youth and Community Trust and improve the match day atmosphere.
Stadhampton’s Will Parkes, eight, who visited with dad Roland, said: “It was really fun. I learnt about camouflage.”
The Yellow Army presented two cheques on the pitch from a 12-mile sponsored walk last year.
The £2,400 will go to Helen and Douglas House and the club’s Youth and Community Trust.
