An inquest was formally opened yesterday into the death of a teenager who fell from a multi-storey car park in Banbury.
Chipping Norton School pupil Thomas Boomer, 14, fell from the Bolton Road car park at about 1am on March 31.
Thomas, from Queen Street in Bloxham, was taken to the children’s intensive care unit at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital where he died at 4.20pm.
Oxfordshire Coroner Darren Salter said he was found injured on the ground.
A preliminary cause of death was given as multiple injuries.
The inquest was adjourned for a full hearing on July 9.
