They rowed and they rowed. And last night, 50 Oxford Brookes University athletes rowed a million metres – or 622 miles – in just under four hours in Bonn Square, Oxford. Organiser and economics student Will Moorhouse said: “We are one of the top boat clubs in the UK. We have a large squad training all year round.” The team was raising money for a new boat and funds for children’s sport charity Youth Sport Trust.
