SINCE the Oxford Stadium closed in December 2012 there has been months of uncertainty about its future.
And there’s still no sign of any clarity despite various groups and individuals setting out their plans for the site.
So it’s at least welcoming to hear somebody calling on the owners to get a deal sorted.
Galliard’s hopes are clear – it wants to develop the site into homes, demolishing the stadium.
But it will have to await the outcome of a planning appeal because permission has been refused for the development.
Meanwhile Nick Budimir, a friend of football manager Harry Redknapp, has made his position clear, along with Oxfordshire farmer Robert Tyrell.
In a very frank interview, Mr Budimir has said they just want to “get on with it”.
Let’s hope the long wait to discover the stadium’s fate will soon be over.
