DEVELOPERS are asking for views on plans for a new primary school.

Oxfordshire County Council want to build at the new Longford Park development in Banbury. The school would initially admit 45 pupils per year and the buildings are expected to be built by 2016.

Councillors want residents’ views on which academy trust should manage the school, and what links it should have with the community.

The school is part of a new 1,070 housing development which is under construction near Bankside.

Plans for a further 400 homes have been proposed in the Cherwell District Council’s draft local plan for the site south east of Banbury on the Oxford Road.

Planning permission was granted for Longford Park in 2009 and a new primary school has been planned for the development.
