A SERIAL burglar who stole two fold-up bikes during a break-in has been given one last chance by a judge.

Luke Newell, of Lake Road, admitted carrying out the burglary in Wytham Street on December 21 last year. The 39-year-old drug addict stole two Brompton bikes, two iPods, a laptop computer and five bottles of alcohol – in total worth £2,370.

Judge Ian Pringle said he would defer his sentence until August 1 to see if he could take this last chance to stop offending.
