A HOUSE in Wallingford was burgled on Saturday morning while the elderly woman who lived there was out shopping.

The woman, in her 80s, left the Thames Street home between 10am to 11am and returned to find her home had been burgled.

Thames Valley Police did not give details have been given about what was taken.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw a plain white van or a white male in his 40s and 5ft 8ins.

He has short light-coloured hair and a distinctive “chinstrap” beard with no moustache.
