If a cyclist had mounted a pavement and injured a pedestrian we would be up to 50 comments already.

How can there be no arrests? It's illegal to drive a motor vehicle on the pavement and surely colliding with a pedestrian warrants a charge of careless driving.

Calm down, dear. It could be a steering failure, a heart attack, a stolen vehicle...the police will get the facts and release them later. Your bicycle needs a large basket for when you take the enormous chip off your shoulder.

Do you know the difference between a charge and arrest? Try not to comment on things you don't understand! You can't jump to conclusions until you know all the facts, have you never made a mistake in your life?

If this had been an incident of a cyclist mounting a pavement and so much as sneezing near a pedestrian we would be approaching 70 comments by now, baying for them to be hung at dawn.

The vehicle appears to be parked on a zigzag approaching a zebra crossing, surely that's an offence. Come to think of it, I wonder if the zebra crossing had anything to do with sudden 'steering failure'?

You know that if a car driver kills or injures a person on the road or on the pavement, it's an accident and the poor driver didn't mean to do it, so it's not a problem.

But cyclists are dangerous law-breakers, they are menaces who'll kill you as soon as look at you.

Well according to the more ignorant, knuckle-dragging anti-cyclists you get on here.

Don't bother arguing with the ignorant, it's pointless.
