Thames Valley Police yesterday refused to give any information about the investigation into a man arrested following the death of a 50-year-old man in Oxford.
The man was found dead at the O’Hanlon House homeless hostel in Luther Street in the early hours of Friday. It is understood his death may be linked to a potentially contaminated batch of heroin.
Another 50-year-old man was arrested following the death on suspicion of administering a poison with intent to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm.
But Thames Valley Police yesterday refused to say whether the suspect had been charged, released on bail, or released without charge.
