Guest stallholders and market fans will set up shop at Banbury Market to celebrate the national Love Your Local Market campaign.
Saturday’s event will have stalls selling pet foods, paintings and patchwork quilts as part of the campaign to encourage more shoppers to use the market.
The market in the Town Square will also features stalls selling dolls’ clothes, tie dye T-shirts, cards and crafts.
Banbury Town Council will run its own stall alongside the regular flowers, fruits and vegetables, and greetings cards stalls, between 9am and 4.30pm.
Cherwell District Council street scene officer Ian Cooper said: “By offering something new we are hoping to encourage more people to come to Banbury market and remind them of just what is on offer week in, week out – and why it is beneficial and important to both them and the traders to keep markets bustling.”
