FIRE crews were called out to a fire at a family home.

A back bedroom at a house on Asquith Road in Rose Hill was on fire.

Everyone in the house escaped unharmed, but paramedics were at the scene to check them over.

There had been concern for the household’s pet cats, but they also escaped themselves.

Emergency services got the call at just after 6.20pm last night.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
