A MAN’S home is his castle, but two new homes in Bicester are equally impregnable.

Those with an interest in wartime history, or perhaps those with a lot of enemies, will be lining up to buy the former bomb shelters.

Or perhaps a publicity-shy celebrity will use it to escape the papparazzi.

With walls more than four metres thick and a concrete slab roof, the new owners are unlikely to be disturbed by the outside world anytime soon.

In true TARDIS-style they might not seem much on the outside, but they are impressive inside.

It must have been some feat of design and engineering to take a windowless bunker and convert it into the stunning homes now on sale.

And the pressure would have been on, given only a few of these bunkers remain.
