A nine-year-old boy with cerebral palsy got a surprise treat when Downtown Abbey star Joanne Froggatt visited him yesterday.
Thomaz Lusby-Roberts was ‘beaming’ when the actress stopped at the John Radcliffe Hospital to join the children’s musical therapy sessions in aid of Rosie’s Rainbow Fund.
The visit marked Wear Rainbow Day, to raise awareness and funding for seriously ill and disabled children, as well as their families.
Charity patron Miss Froggatt, who plays maid Anna in Downton, said: “It was a great opportunity to see what they do on a daily basis and how they help children.”
The charity also presented Thomaz with an iPad so he can download apps to continue with his therapy at home.
Thomaz’s mum Emma Lusby-Roberts, from High Wycombe, said: “I think it is such a nice gesture.”
