OXFORD’S SAE institute for music and film studies has agreed to reserve up to 40 places for City of Oxford College students.

Places will be offered for students to study for degrees in animation, audio production, game programming, music business or film making from September.

City of Oxford College students will also be offered the chance to take part in projects such as testing games and websites produced by SAE students.

Mark Brocklehurst, managing director of SAE Institute UK, based at Littlemore Park, Armstrong Road, Oxford, said: “We’re creating something distinctive and unique in Oxfordshire.

“A progression agreement of this kind is particularly vital in order to widen participation in the county and surrounding areas.”

City of Oxford College curriculum director Pete Reynolds said: “This agreement with SAE Institute will be hugely beneficial to those students completing programmes in creative and digital media.

He added: “We look forward to working with SAE Institute both in terms of student progression, and in terms of the joint projects that will enrich students’ learning while they are at the college.”
