GARDENERS mucked in at Oxford City Council’s compost giveaway at Florence Park on Saturday.

Dozens of residents came to get their hands on free compost and cut-price £10 compost bins from the council’s recycling team, including Maria Warner and Ash Hennessy.

Ms Warner, the council’s recycling liaison officer, said: “We had a busy Saturday.

“We also spoke to lots of residents and gave them advice on recycling as well as selling compost.”
