BANBURY MAGISTRATES

Paul Hopkins, 31, of Bridge Street, Banbury, admitted stealing two DVDs worth £24 from Banbury Co-op on February 26. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £24 compensation and a £24 victims’ surcharge.

Walter Kepke, 26, of Oxford Road, Banbury, was convicted of assaulting a man by beating him on Banbury High Street on January 17. Fined £300 and ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £30 victims’ surcharge and £300 costs.

Karen Nadin, 46, of Radley Road, Abingdon, was convicted on two counts of failing to identify a driver suspected of a driving offence to Thames Valley Police, once between July 26 and August 23 and a separate charge between July 30 and August 27. Fined £500 and ordered to pay a £50 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs. Banned from driving for six months.

Stuart Hosking, 49, of Banbury Road, Oxford, admitted failing to supply information which could identify a driver suspected of an offence to Thames Valley Police between August 5 and September 2. Fined £700 and ordered to pay a £70 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.

Neil Henderson, 35, of Juniper Close, Banbury, admitted drink-driving on Cromwell Road, Banbury, on April 30. Had 83 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the legal limit of 35mg. Banned from driving for 40 months, and given a community order requiring 60 hours of unpaid work in the next year. Also ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Jacob Hedley, 39, of Newcombe Close, Milcombe, Banbury, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her at Milcombe on March 29. Given a three-month prison sentence suspended for two years. Ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Jamie Clark, 24, of no fixed address, admitted stealing a bicycle worth £400 from Didcot Delivery Office in Broadway, Didcot, on May 13. Suspended sentence order activated and jailed for 13 months.

Jonah Miles-Collett, 20, of Black Bourton Road, Carterton, admitted criminal damage to an Oxfordshire County Council lamppost in Rock Road, Carterton, on May 7. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £25 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £55 costs.

Ben Thompson, 30, of Wadham Close, Bicester, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis in Launton on April 17. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Michael O’Brien, 55, of Spindleside, Bicester, admitted assault and criminal damage worth £500 to a Vauxhall Corsa in Spindleside, Bicester, on January 19. Community order made with a four-month curfew requirement. Told to pay £600 compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.

Hayley Washington, 32, of Bretch Hill, Banbury, admitted dishonestly failing to notify the Department of Work and Pensions and Cherwell District Council about changes of circumstances which would affect her entitlement to income support, council tax benefit and housing benefit between November 2010 and February 2013. Given a two-year conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Martin Harwood, 38, of Fowlers Road, Kingham, admitted dishonestly receiving stolen food stuffs worth £117.84 belonging to Co-op stores in Eynsham on July 7. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.

James Wells, 43, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing meat worth £47.49 from Sainsbury’s in Witney on January 25. Community order made with drug rehabilitation and supervision requirements.

OXFORD MAGISTRATES

Franca Gibson, 32, of Centaury Place, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Primrose Place, Oxford, on March 14. Had 177mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80mg. Given a 20-month driving ban and fined £110. Told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

John Higgins, 28, of Upper High Street, Thame, admitted drink driving in Green Road, Oxford, on February 1. Had 81mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80mg. Given a 12-month driving ban and fined £500. Told to pay a £50 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Shabaz Khan, 20, of Cosin Close, Oxford, admitted failing to stop when ordered by a police officer, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, on April 30 in Church Cowley Road, Oxford. Fined £485 and given six points on driving licence. Told to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

James Stouter, 21, of St Mary’s Way, Wantage, admitted causing criminal damage to three wing mirrors in Wantage on April 4. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £159.38 compensation and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Gary Brown, 32, of The Hyde, Abingdon, admitted carrying out an assault which caused actual bodily harm in Abingdon on February 1. Community order made with a six-month supervision requirement and a 250-hour unpaid work requirement. Told to pay £500 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Alton Sutton, 51, of Butts Road, Horspath, convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence at Banbury between October 9 and November 6. Fined £600 and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points.

Rickie Smith, 53, of Cassington Road, Yarnton, admitted speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone in Worcester Road, Chipping Norton, on September 22. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge. Driving licence endorsed with three points.

Sarah Wharton, 39, of Blue Mountains, Wallingford, convicted of driving while using a mobile phone in Headley Way, Oxford, on November 23. Fined £150 and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.
