DANCE workshops and toe-tapping amusement will take place in a day of dance.

Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Banbury have encouraged residents to tap, jump, wiggle and stamp their feet along with schools and dance groups from 10am to 10pm on Saturday.

The sponsored dance extravaganza, dubbed Your Chance to Dance, will take place in The Dupuis Centre in Dashwood Road, Banbury.

The event will raise funds for the Leonard Cheshire Disability home Agnes Court in Warwick Road.

Organisers also hope to raise funds for a Home Visiting Adviser from Banbury Citizens Advice Bureau to visit the disabled who live in their own homes, and raise money for Spinal Muscular Atrophy Support UK.

The Joanne Mills School of Dancing will start the festivities with ballet, tap, modern and street dancing classes.

There will also be Zumba and contemporary dance classes and an afternoon tea dance from 3pm.

The evening will finish with a line dance performance by the Banbury Boot Scooters.
