WITH the Brazil World Cup set to kick off in eight days’ time, there is plenty for football fans to look forward to.

England-mania will be in overdrive across the land but the Oxford Mail wants to celebrate every nation involved.

We are looking for an Oxfordshire resident from each of the 32 countries taking part on the biggest stage in football.

Each person would need to tell us about how they ended up in Oxford and their memories of supporting their country.

The teams involved are Brazil, Croatia, Mexico, Cameroon, Spain, Holland, Chile, Australia, Colombia, Greece, Ivory Coast, Japan, Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy, Switzerland, Ecuador, France, Honduras, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iran, Nigeria, Germany, Portugal, Ghana and USA.

And fans will be able to watch every one of them in the Eurobar and Hotel in George Street, Oxford.

The Government has allowed pubs to stay open late for England matches but the bar has got a licence to show every game with an 11pm kick-off.

Manager Massimo Penaglia, an Italy fan, said: “I’m definitely looking forward to it and there will be a good atmosphere I’m sure.

“We get a lot of people coming in whenever there’s a big game on. Hopefully it will be one to remember.”

To take part, email dan.robinson@ oxfordmail.co.uk or call 01865 425483.
