WHAT a fitting tribute to nine-year-old Thomas Laurie who died in February from a rare genetic premature ageing condition.

Yesterday’s Rainbow Run, the first held by Helen and Douglas House, saw University Parks awash with colour.

A large number of entrants were part of Team Thomas, running in memory of the Bicester youngster.

They saw it as a celebration of his life as he loved anything colourful, but wished he could have been there to enjoy it.

He was cared for by the fantastic team at the East Oxford hospice and it’s hoped the run will raise £30,000 for Helen and Douglas House.

An inspiring event for a very worth cause.
