DURING the week Witney MP David Cameron has to control his own cabinet, but when he visited Tackley playground yesterday things seemed to be a lot more fun.
The Prime Minister visited the West Oxfordshire village yesterday to officially open its new playground.
Villagers managed to raise £90,000 for the redeveloped playground, which includes new equipment for the children, including those with special needs.
Mr Cameron said: “I was delighted to open Tackley playground – a shining example of the big society in action.
“I know it will be a big hit with the local children and parents and everyone involved should be very proud of what they have achieved.”
Mr Cameron also officially named the Said Business School’s new building in Frideswide Square, left.
The decision to call the £15m building the Thatcher Business Education Centre sparked interest because Oxford University famously declined to give Baroness Thatcher an honorary degree in the 1980s because of the Government’s policies towards education and science.
He also visited the new emergency multidisciplinary unit at Witney Community Hospital which opened earlier this year.
