A FIVE-WEEK-OLD baby airlifted to hospital after a crash on the M40 that killed her mother has been discharged and is at home with her family.
Ruby Bull was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after a Peugeot 406 estate driven by her mother Joanna Bull – 29, from Kenilworth, in Warwickshire – collided with a lorry just north of junction 9, at Wendlebury, at about 11.15am on Friday.
Mrs Bull was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
In a statement, Mrs Bull’s family said: “Jo died on her way to visit her mum Teresa, with her daughter Ruby, to meet newborn cousin Harry for the first time, and to have a catch-up with big sister Sophie, and niece Nelly, aged two.
“Jo was vibrant, beautiful, and caring in so many ways. A girl who added zest to a room and who had found true love and happiness with her husband of just one year, Dave.
“To have her taken from us at such a happy time is utterly unbearable.”
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the collision to call 101.
