A group of nude cyclists rode through the centre of Oxford yesterday.

The event, the first of its kind in Oxford, was held as part of the World Naked Bike Ride, to advocate bicycle-friendly communities.

The riders gathered at Oxpens Meadow and rode along High Street. About 20 people, walking and on bikes, took part.

Having seen this group, I can say there were far more than 20 people! Something like 70 might have been a better estimate.

Why? Do you disinfect a baby's pushchair after you have pushed it past the back of car that has its engine running?

Shouldn't need to. It is considered etiquette in the naturist community, to place a towel or something similar, between saddle and bum, to protect the naked bum from any nasty germs on the saddle. Having said that, many of the London riders were naked people, not naturists.

Nice to see a fairly positive comment from you on cyclists for a change. Though it's a shame it took a fairly elderly bunch of naked men to gain your approval.

Stop hanging around at red lights and you'll start to see even more to be glad about.

Car exhausts tend not to contain traces of winnits, tag nuts, dangle-berries and cling-ons.

God created Man naked.
Man sinned.
Man therefore became ashamed, and wore clothing.

So there you have it... only sinners need to wear clothes!!
