THAMES Valley Police has launched a review into its treatment of the traveller community.
It comes after Banbury-based police officer Jim Davies, who is an English Romany Gypsy, launched a complaint of race discrimination against the force.
The force says the complaint has been settled and an independent review will be conducted, with PC Davies and the newly formed Gypsy Roma Traveller Police Association assisting the process.
PC Davies did not seek financial compensation.
