A MOBILE phone was stolen from a 17-year-old girl’s hand while she was waiting for a bus in Cowley.
At 11.20am on Saturday, June 14 the girl had her phone snatched as she waited for her bus in Barns Road.
The offender ran off towards the Grates.
Two men saw the victim and chased the offender, getting the phone back and returning it to the 17-year-old.
The offender is around 5ft 4in, of medium build, around 30 years old with short brown curly hair and some facial stubble. He wore a long-sleeved white top with blue writing on the front and dark coloured jeans.
Det Con Charlotte Dunford from St Aldates police station said “We are appealing for witnesses to the incident and also to the two men who chased the offender, to thank them for helping the witness.
“We are also keen to speak to a man who spoke to the victim after the offence, as he may have important information that can assist the investigation.”
