A PRIMARY school in Witney has been rated good by Ofsted inspectors.

The Blake Church Primary School, in Cogges Hill Road, was visited at the beginning of May.

The school, which has 408 pupils, was rated good when it was last visited in 2010.

The report said: “Pupils who read to inspectors show a love of reading.

“Younger pupils confidently use their knowledge of phonics to read unfamiliar words.

“Older pupils read well and understand the various ways in which authors develop characters and plots.”
