A parachutist based at RAF Brize Norton hit an 82-year-old spectator as he came into land during a display over Weston-super-Mare beach.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said both were taken to hospital yesterday, but neither suffered serious injuries.
The accident happened at around 1.20pm on Marine Parade as the parachutist from the RAF Falcon display team came into land.
An air ambulance attended and was assisted by police cadets. A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed an investigation would take place. RAF Brize Norton made no comment last night.
