People convicted of offences at magistrates courts in Oxfordshire recently:

  1. Stephen Rix, 56, of Barns Lane, Burford, admitted drink driving on Guildenford, Burford, on June 12. Had 53 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
  2. David Watt, 36, of Harebell Way, Bicester, admitted damaging a door to the value of £880.35 belonging to Paradigm Housing in Banbury on March 30. Given a two-year conditional discharge, ordered to pay £400 compensation and £15 costs.
  3. Denise King, 26, of no fixed address, admitted stealing £101.85 worth of meat and jewellery from Marks & Spencer in Banbury on April 29 and failing to answer bail at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on June 13. Also admitted stealing £4 worth of cheese from Londis, Banbury, on May 3, £49.77 worth of assorted food from Co-op, Banbury, on the same day and assorted food of value unknown from the same Co-op on May 1. Sent to prison for eight weeks.
  4. Andrew Richardson, 37, of Old School Close, Caversfield, near Bicester, admitted stealing eight computer printer cartridges worth £82.98, from Sainsbury’s in Bicester on March 25. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  5. Andrew Marshall, 29, of Station Approach, Grimsbury, near Banbury, admitted stealing £72.60 worth of food from Co-op in Bicester on March 26, £50 worth of food from Banbury Co-op on February 22, £15.97 worth of wine from Banbury Co-op on March 20 and £80 worth of meat and washing powder from Co-op in Brackley on April 6. Ordered to pay £494.53 compensation.
  6. Richard Dale-Green, 32, of Stone Court, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Banbury on May 23. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  7. Daniel Gray, 23, of Brashfield Road, Bicester, admitted possessing MDMA, a Class A drug, and cannabis, a Class B drug, in Bicester on April 12. Fined £170 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  8. Perry Griffiths, 23, of Lowell Place, Witney, admitted drink driving in Brize Norton Road, Carterton, on April 19. Had 162 milligrams of alcohol in 100ml or urine, over the legal limit of 107mg. Fined £250 and ordered to pay a £25 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
  9. Courtney Harris, 39, of West Street, Banbury, admitted stealing £19.12 worth of food items from Tesco in Middleton Road, Banbury, on May 25. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  10. Azhar Mahmood, 31, of Windrush, Banbury, admitted drink driving on Banbury High Street on June 7. Had 58 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
  11. Shane Simms, 25, of Springfield Avenue, Banbury, admitted drink driving on Mascord Road, Banbury, on June 7. Had 62 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £325 and ordered to pay a £32 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 17 months.
  12. Lee Allum, 31, of Castle Street, Banbury, convicted of driving an unlicensed vehicle on the A22 in Banbury on March 17. Fined £200 and told to pay £35 excise back duty and £90 costs.
  13. Michael Hardisty, 31, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted stealing a bottle of wine worth £10.99 from the Co-op in Banbury Road, Oxford, on June 24. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  14. Daniel Howlett, 21, of no fixed address, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Bicester on May 23. Fined £165 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  15. Lee Rudman, 35, of Blenheim Drive, Witney, admitted failing to attend a follow-up assessment following a test for Class A drugs in Marlborough Lane, Witney, on May 14. Fined £50 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  16. Lisa Terry, 40, of Mackley Close, Deddington, near Banbury, admitted failing to attend a follow-up assessment following a test for Class A drugs in Banbury Police Station, Warwick Road, Banbury, on May 20. Fined £50 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  17. Alexander Rowland, 34, of Woodford Way, Witney, admitted sending an indecent or offensive text message on February 1 in Chipping Norton. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £150 costs.
  18. Leisha Kane, 29, of Duke Street, Banbury, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Banbury on June 6. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  19. Wayne Brain, 39, of Banbury Road, Oddington, near Kidlington, admitted failing to surrender to Banbury Magistrates’ Court on June 4. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  20. Tarik Isboga, 39, of Corn Street, Witney, convicted failing to give information as to the identity of a driver suspected to be guilty of an offence in Banbury between August 13 and September 10. Fined £300, told to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £150 costs. Given six points on licence.
  21. Mark Smith, 37, of no fixed address, admitted two counts of placing himself in public places, namely Park End Street and Cornmarket Street in Oxford, to beg on June 26 and June 27 Fined £100.
  22. Andrew Clements, 26, of Hamfield, Wantage, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, on May 16 in Saxton Road, Abingdon. Given a six-month conditional discharge with a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  23. Rikki Marsden, 23, of Morrell Avenue, Oxford, admitted being concerned in the production of cannabis, a Class B drug, in Morrell Avenue, Oxford, on June 4. Ordered to do 60-hours unpaid work with a £60 victims’ surcharge and £80 costs.
  24. Sharon Foster, 26, of Harcourt Way, Abingdon, admitted racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress by words or writing in Harcourt Way, Abingdon. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge made on January 17 for theft. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.

  26. Linda Garry, 57, of London Road, Headington, admitted speeding at 53mph in 30mph Cuddesdon Road, Horspath, on October 30. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  27. Kent Baldwin, 45, of Tanners Court, Charlbury, near Chipping Norton, admitted drink-driving in Nine Acres Lane, Charlbury, on March 29. Had 73 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, over the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 20 months.
  28. Jed Denton, 21, of Underhill Circus, Barton, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis in Underhill Circus, Barton, on June 12. Fined £80 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  29. Tinashe Mushangi, 21, of Clematis Place, Oxford, admitted possession of Class A drugs diamorphine and cocaine in Worcester Street, Oxford, on April 2. Fined £140 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  30. Nathan Dawson, 26, of Preston Road, Abingdon, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis in Preston Road, Abingdon, on April 5. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  31. Thomas Horton, 19, of no fixed address, admitted being drunk and disorderly and assaulting Pc Keith Marrison in the execution of his duty in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford, on June 13. Fined £60 and told to pay £75 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
