AMERICAN mother-of-three Eileen Clark has been extradited to face charges of kidnapping her children.

Eileen Clark, who lives in West Way, Botley, was put on a plane by police officers at London Heathrow on Thursday.

She will go to court to face charges of “international parental kidnapping” after she moved to Oxford with her children, all now in their 20s, following her divorce 16 years ago.

Human rights campaign group Liberty yesterday said she will have to face her ex-husband and children’s father, John Clark, across a US courtroom.

Sandra Horley, chief executive of national domestic violence charity Refuge, said: “Today is a bleak day, I am horrified.

“Eileen alleges that she experienced years of domestic abuse at his hands.

“It is highly disturbing that her claims have not been properly examined in a court of law in this country.

“This sets an incredibly dangerous precedent. My thoughts are with Eileen and her family today.”

An appeal against her extradition at High Court last month was thrown out.

The 56-year-old former aerobics trainer and model moved to Britain with her children Chandler, Hayden and Rebekah in December 1998.

Mrs Clark was arrested at her home in July 2010 after being on the FBI’s “most wanted” list.
