A MAN was taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital tonight with serious injuries thought to be from a stabbing, police have confirmed.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Rhianne Pope said officers were called to a serious assault outside Blanco bar in Cowley Road at 7.56pm.
She said the man, in his 20s, was not thought to be in a life-threatening condition. No arrests have been made.
Ms Pope said: “A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with injuries that are consistent with stab wounds, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.”
There was a large show of police presence at the scene afterwards, she added.
Force deputy LPA commander Yvette Hitch said: “This incident follows a really successful carnival day and officers are continuing to patrol the area.”
South Central Ambulance Service are understood to have sent at least one vehicle to the scene.
