A MOBILE telephone accessories manufacturer is looking to triple its workforce just two years after starting up.

Gusto wants to recruit more than 25 staff over the next six months – on top of the 12 it already employs at its Banbury headquarters.

The company has seen its annual turnover increase from £4.5m in 2012 to £6.5m this year and now bosses have set their sights on international growth, with two new bases set to be established in Ontario, Canada, and California, USA. Owner Jolyon Bennett said: “I have the ambition to make Gusto the largest seller of mobile phone accessories in the world and I am continuously looking for ways in which the company can grow.”

Gusto’s Juice-branded mobile charger launched the company into the UK mobile technology market in 2012, selling 2,000 units in its first week of sale.

The company, which only moved to Haslemere Way on the Tramway Industrial Estate on May 1, has expanded its product lines to include phone covers, portable chargers and speakers.

The plans have been been backed by a £200,000 overdraft from Lloyds Bank commercial banking.

The bank’s relationship director Peter Rogers said: “Jolyon took an idea and made it happen, and it is thanks to his business plan and Gusto’s products and packaging that the company has even more ambition for growth.”

The New Private Eye says...

I would take my company and jobs elsewhere Mr Bennett. You have come to the most Anti-Mobile phone county in the whole wide world. All of our NIMBYS campaign against every new Cell-Phone mast and as such want to destroy your business. Go to TVPK in Reading you will be welcome there.
