A Polish man who skipped the country whilst on bail from court six years ago is finally back in the dock.

Tomasz Jerzy Krasuski, 28, of unknown address, faced charges in 2008 of handling stolen goods and having an article with a blade or point and was due to appear at Oxford Crown Court but returned to Poland.

Judge Gordon Risius said he returned to the UK “seven or eight months ago” and had since been apprehended by the police.

He decided to adjourn the case for a week while the Crown Prosecution Service decides whether to continue with the charges. And Judge Risius remanded Krasuski in prison in the meantime.
