MAE Lovell enjoyed a close encounter with this wooden dinosaur at a fundraising day for city mental health chairty Restore.

She was among about 3,000 people at Saturday’s 23rd Elder Stubbs Festival at allotments in Rymers Lane, Cowley.

The Peter Pan-themed festival included a pirate treasure hunt, giant crocodile, the Lost Boys and Tinkerbell.

There were also food and charity stalls, live music, pony rides and a tombola.

The Oxford Times:

The Oxford Ukulele group perform at the festival

Mae, six, of Stratford Street, Iffley Fields, said: “I thought the dinosaurs were amazing because I really like dinosaurs.

“My favourite part of the day was the tombola because I got a lolly.”

Festival co-ordinator Katie Rowell said: “The biggest aim is to raise awareness of mental health as an issue and also start to break down some of the misconceptions that people have.”
