SWASHBUCKLING amateur pirates Leo Robinson-Po and Laurie Potts were thankfully not made to walk the plank yesterday at The Story Museum.

The four-and-a-half year old friends took part in a flag-making workshop at the museum in Oxford as part of Peter Pan week.

They drew skulls and crossbones on black card and and attached them to a stripy flag pole.

Leo, from Marston, said: “I liked playing on the boat the best. I will keep my flag in my room... under the bed.”

His mum Marilyn said: “They loved playing on the boats – they did that for hours.’’ The museum in Pembroke Street has held themed book weeks every week of the summer holidays, including Alice in Wonderland and The Wind in the Willows.

The flag-making workshop will run everyday until Peter Pan week ends on Sunday.
