BANBURY MAGISTRATES.

  1. Denise King, 26, of Marshall Road, Banbury, admitted shoplifting clothes worth £35 from Marks & Spencer in Bridge Street, Banbury, on July 16. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge.
  2. Jacek Wilke, 28, of Bassett Avenue, Banbury, convicted of driving without insurance in Middleton Stoney Road, Bicester, on December 29. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.
  3. Paul Selkirk, 39, of no fixed address, admitted driving without insurance and a licence in Bletchingdon on January 7. Fined £300 and told to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.
  4. Yulin Chen, 37, of Herbert Close, Oxford, convicted of driving an unlicensed vehicle in Cowley Road, Oxford, on April 19. Fined £600 and told to pay vehicle excise back duty of £218.34. Told to pay £90 costs.
  5. Shazad Hussain, of Merton Street, Banbury, admitted depositing controlled waste, namely a white fridge freezer under the archway which gives access to the parking at Chiltern House, Merton Street, Banbury, without the authority of a current environmental permit issued under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £424.61 costs.
  6. Michael Meadows, 23, of Cromwell Road, Banbury, admitted failing to hand over a railway ticket for inspection in Banbury on April 17. Fined £200 and told to pay £17 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £130 costs.
  7. Richard Santhouse, 22, of Waterloo Drive, Banbury, admitted travelling on a railway in Oxfordshire without having paid a fare on July 16. Fined £220 and told to pay £4.70 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £130 costs.
  8. Daniel Soares, 18, of Bridge Street, Banbury, convicted of failing to hand over a ticket for inspection on a railway in Banbury on July 16. Fined £200 and told to pay £4.70 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £130 costs.
  9. Ashtiaq Hussain, 33, of Hilton Road, Banbury, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis in Adderbury on August 6. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  10. Marion Wright, 60, of Foxburrow Lane, Hailey, admitted drink-driving in Foxburrow Lane, Witney, on September 10. Had 118 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Community order made and told to do 120 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 50 months.
  11. Stacey Walker, 25, of Church View, Berinsfield, admitted speeding at 52mph in a 30mph zone on the A415 at Culham on March 18. Fined £140 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six penalty points.

 

OXFORD MAGISTRATES.

  1. Gary Hayzer, 44, of Dene Road, Oxford, admitted stealing £30 worth of cleaning products from Co-op in Atkyns Road, Oxford, on May 6. Given a community order requiring participation in a Building Better Relationships programme for 90 days. Also ordered to pay £30 compensation.
  2. Gary Rowley, 44, of Dene Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a £10 shirt from Barnardos charity shop, Cowley Road, on December 10 and three T-shirts worth £10.97 from the same shop on January 11. Also convicted of assaulting a woman by beating her in Palmer Close, Headington, on January 26. Given a community order requiring participation in a Building Better Relationships programme for 90 days and ordered to pay £150 compensation, £60 victims’ surcharge and £200 costs.
  3. Lee Taylor, 26, of Eastfields, Blewbury, near Didcot, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Welford Gardens, Abingdon, on July 20 and at Boundary House, Oxford Road, Abingdon, on July 19. Given a community order requiring participation in a Building Better Relationships programme for 28 days and ordered to pay £100 compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  4. Dale Gough, 22, of Gainfield, Buckland, near Faringdon, admitted making 48 indecent photographs of children between November 16, 2011, and January 2, 2013. Given a four-month prison sentence suspended for 24 months and ordered to participate in a Cybersafe programme for 26 days. Also ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Computer to be forfeited and destroyed. Sexual offences prevention order made, prohibiting the defendant from possessing any device capable of accessing the internet unless it has the capacity to display the history of internet use and he make the device available for inspection by a police officer.
  5. Demetrius Herlihy, 20, of Balfour Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting police constables Kevin Jones and Peter Lloyd in the execution of their duty in St John Street, Oxford, on June 28. Also admitted obstructing or resisting police inspector Linsdell in the execution of his duty on the same night. Ordered to carry out 40 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and ordered to pay £200 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  6. John Kibe, 38, of Lyford Close, Drayton, near Abingdon, was convicted of assaulting a woman by beating her and sexually touching her without consent in Culham Road, Abingdon, on September 8. Ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay £100 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £595 costs.
  7. Joshua Thorne, 21, of Normandy Crescent, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man at Roppongi Music Bar in George Street, Oxford, on March 22. Ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work in the next year and pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £300 costs.
  8. Ashcon Maoraveg-Oskooie, 30, of Alden Crescent, Barton, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to carry out unpaid work ordered by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on June 13. Fined £60.
