POLICE and crime commissioner Anthony Stansfeld claimed £6,734 in expenses in the last financial year.

The Thames Valley Police crime tsar’s claims included £1,810 for mileage, £2,709 for hire car, and £1,102 for public transport.

The claims – which also included £789 for accommodation and £37 for parking – were made between April last year and March this year.

Deputy PCC David Carroll claimed £445.40 for public transport over the 12 months.

Last year, an audit found the PCC had incorrectly claimed six out of 41 claims totalling £142.20.
