A MAN was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries after a car he was travelling in overturned on the A44 today.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene of the incident near Glympton shortly before midday.

The road was shut for more than three hours and reopened at about 3.15pm.

A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11.45am to the A44 near Glympton to one vehicle that had overturned.

“We sent an emergency care paramedic, an ambulance doctor and two ambulance officers, who assessed two male patients at the scene.

“One man had serious leg injuries and another was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

“Both were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.”
