Two teenagers from Witney were arrested last night after a man suffered a broken arm.

The two 17-year-old boys were arrested last night shortly after 11.20pm when an altercation involving seven people resulted in a fight breaking out between three teenagers and a 50-year-old man on the junction of Taphouse Avenue and Failey Road, a police spokesman said.

The 50-year-old victim was kicked, punched and suffered a broken arm during the fight.

He was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital by ambulance.

The two teens were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, the spokesman said, and are being held by police.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
