  • STEVIE TIMPERLEY, 27, of Hughes Court, Charlbury, convicted of stealing packets of meat worth £100 from Marks & Spencer in Oxford on February 7. Ordered to pay £50 compensation.
  • LAURA EMERY, 36, of Riverside Court, Oxford, admitted stealing perfume worth £133 from Debenhams in Magdalen Street, Oxford on December 31, 2014. Given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • JOSHUA OCHOLA-BOLGER, 18, of Acacia Avenue, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Oxford on January 21. Given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • MARWAN TASHKANDI, 39, of Linton Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Linton Road on December 31, 2014. Given a community order to attend appointments with a supervision officer for six months and carry out 50 hours of unpaid work within the next year. Ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and prosecution costs of £85.
  • CLAIRE GILL, 37, of Cowley Road, Oxfor,d convicted of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order without reasonable excuse on November 7, 2014, and failing to keep in touch with the officer responsible for supervising her. Given a new community order requiring her to receive treatment for drug addiction for six months.
  • NEIL GROUT, 40, of Thompson Drive, Caversfield, Bicester, admitted speeding at 100mph in a 70mph zone on the A421 Tingewick Bypass on June 17, 2014. Fined £465 and ordered to pay a £47 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

  • TONY DOHERTY, 26, of Bartlett Close, Witney, admitted possessing an offensive weapon, a spanner, in a public place, Corn Street, Witney, on January 3. Given a community order with 150 hours unpaid work in the next 12 months and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • KRYSZTOF GRAF, 26, of Woodgreen Avenue, Banbury, admitted drink-driving in Warwick Road, Banbury, on February 12. Had 65 micrograms in alcohol in 100ml of breath over the legal limit of 35mcg. Fined £130 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.
  • AARON SIMPSON, 24, of no fixed address, admitted aggravated vehicle taking in Crawley, near Witney, on February 11. Also admitted driving without a licence or third party insurance. Took a Nissan Micra from his 81-year-old grandmother without her permission and caused an accident, writing-off the vehicle. Given a six-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £150 compensation and an £80 victims’ surcharge. Banned from driving for 12 months.
  • AARON PEARSON, 28, of Bourton Close, Witney, admitted stealing £12.95 worth of alcohol from Co-op in Witney on January 24 and £12.75 worth of alcohol from the same shop on February 1. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £25.70 compensation and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • JACOB POWNEY, 22, of Clarks Row, Oxford, convicted of stealing three tins of Ambrosia Devon cream rice, worth £3.30, from Sainsbury’s in Magdalen Street, Oxford, on December 8. Also convicted of stealing one tin of Ambrosia and a Galaxy chocolate bar, worth £1.30, from the same shop on the same day and assaulting a man by beating him on that day. Admitted causing criminal damage to a cordless phone at Thames Valley Police Station in Warwick Road, Banbury, on December 5. Also admitted stealing two ice creams, worth £3, from McCalls stores in Orchard Way, Banbury, on August 19, and stealing three packets of cream eggs worth £6 from the Co-op in Ruscote Arcade, Banbury, on January 2. Sent to prison for six weeks and ordered to pay £100 compensation.
  • JULIO XIMENES, 32, of Saxton Road, Abingdon, convicted of speeding at 37mph in a 30mph zone on a motorcycle in Drayton Road, Abingdon, on March 19, 2014. Also admitted speeding at 38mph on the same road on March 20, 2014. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending.
  • CLAIRE LASKO, 62, of Chipping Norton High Street, convicted of failing to supply information which could identify a driver suspected of a motoring offence in Banbury between May 8 and June 5. Fined £600 and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for six months.
  • LEDION PANXHA, 27, of Paget Road, Oxford, admitted speeding in a 20mph zone in Morrell Avenue, Oxford, on May 13. Fined £205 and ordered to pay a £21 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 14 days.
  • ROSS HARVEY, 24, of Hazel Crescent, Kidlington, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Kirtlington on November 23. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £25 costs.
  • SALAH NIAZI, 53, of The Moors, Kidlington, admitted driving without insurance in Main Road, Chesterton, on June 2. Fined £300 and ordered to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence also endorsed with six points.
  • LIAM NOLAN, 33, of Schofield Avenue, Witney, admitted drink-driving in Witan Way, Witney, on February 13. Had 83 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the legal limit of 35mcg. Banned from driving for 20 months, fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • MARC ADAMS, 39, of Hazel Grove, Bicester, was convicted of assaulting a woman by beating her in Bicester on October 5. Given a community order, requiring electronic monitoring from March 2 to March 22, 2015, and to be supervised for 12 months. Restraining order regarding the victim until further notice. Ordered to pay £200 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.
