The death of a man whose body was found in the Thames yesterday was not suspicious, police have said.
The man’s body was found at about 6pm yesterday , shortly after police divers were sent in to the river near Osney Lock.
The river was searched after police received a call at about 7.20am yesterday when a man’s watch was found beside a bloodstain on a bench beside the Thames.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Lucy Billen said: “The death is unexplained but it is not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
