HOTEL staff in Oxford turned to pedal power to raise cash for sick youngsters across the county.
The team at Holiday Inn, in Woodstock Road, joined with leisure club members and hotel guests for their 24-hour cycle fundraiser and cake sale.
More than £1,000 was raised by the energetic fundraisers for East Oxford children and young adults hospice Helen and Douglas House.
General manager Joost van Spengler completed a 15-minute stint on the bikes before handing over the reins to other keen cyclists.
He said: “The day went really well. Everyone was totally involved, from staff to the guests and club members.”
Mr van Spengler said the hotel had been supporting the Magdalen Road charity for the last 18 months and is a sponsor of its 3km Rainbow Run, set to take place next month.
