WOOD Farm pupils became artists for the day when their school work went on display as part of Artweeks 2015.
Artwork from children in Years 5 and 6 at Wood Farm Primary School was open to the public on Saturday as part of the arts festival across the city.
The children were told to use the natural world as their inspiration.
As well as their drawings, paintings and models, some of the real-life models came along to the opening.
Ten-year-old Cameron McDonald based some of his work on Chaos, a peregrine falcon that he got to hold at the event.
He said: “It’s been good fun. I drew a bird, the peregrine falcon and I copied some leaves.
“Holding the falcon was fun at the opening.”
Shannon Rush, 11, said: “I think it’s really exciting to get to make birds and build bird boxes and learn about them”
Salma Khanom, 11, also used birds as inspiration, and said: “I made a woodpecker using paper and tissue paper.”
