OXFORD MAGISTRATES

Christopher Bray, 40, of Crescent Road, Oxford, admitted two counts of possessing a knife in public in Crescent Road, Oxford, on April 7. Given an eight-week jail sentence suspended for 12 months. Ordered to spend 12 months in drug rehabilitation. Also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge.

Emma Wiggins, 19, of Walker Drive, Thame, admitted stealing alcohol worth £4.99 from a BP station in Park Street, Thame, on March 12. Fined £50 and ordered to pay £4.99 compensation. Also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £25 costs.

Jake Evans, 23, Sutton Lane, Sutton, admitted harassing a woman by visiting an address in Windrush Valley, Witney between March 12 and March 18. Also admitted assaulting a man on March 18 in Banbury and using threatening or abusing behaviour to another woman in Banbury on March 18. Given a community order and a restraining order not to visit the address in Windrush Valley or contact the victim. Also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Stuart Fanson, 36, of Tyndale Place, Wheatley, was convicted of driving while on a mobile phone in Launton Road, Bicester, on October 1, 2014. Fined £100, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Matthew Ayres, 38, of Beech Road, Thame, admitted beating a woman in Park Street, Thame, on April 29. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge.

Ben Croden, 30, of Westlands Avenue, Weston on the Green, admitted drink-driving in Donnington Bridge Road, Oxford, on January 16. Had 173mg of alcohol in 100ml of urine, above the 107mg legal limit. Given a three-year driving ban and fined £280. Also ordered to pay a £28 victim surcharge and £320 costs.

Jade Newman, 25, of Normandy Crescent, Oxford, admitted assaulting two police constables in Normandy Crescent on May 1. Given a community order to be under a three-month curfew between 9pm and 7am. Ordered to pay £200 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £150 criminal courts charge.

Stefan Cobb, 22, Dodson Court, Abingdon, admitted stealing four bottles of vodka worth £39.96 from a B&M Bargains store in Marcham Road, Abingdon, on April 7. Given a 12-month conditional discharge. Also ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge, £50 costs and £150 criminal courts charge.

Siriwat Pinsiranon, 47, of Lakeside, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Five Mile Drive, Oxford, on May 1. Had 66 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 20-month driving ban and fined £350. Ordered to pay a £35 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge.

Jason Merry, 38, of no fixed address, admitted possessing a knife in public in Cowley Road on March 26. Also admitted causing criminal damage to a door worth about £10 in Oxford Road, Oxford, on March 26. Given an eight-week jail sentence suspended for 12 months. Ordered to spend up to 20 days in rehabilitation. Also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge, £50 costs and £10 compensation.

Jennifer Ford, 55, of Ivy Close, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage with paint to walls and carpet worth £494.48 belonging to MIND Housing on February 26 in Oxford. Also admitted causing criminal damage with paint to walls worth £475 belonging to MIND Housing on March 1 in Oxford. Also admitted causing criminal damage with paint to walls worth £425 belonging to MIND Housing on March 20 in Oxford. Also admitted causing criminal damage with paint to walls worth £325 belonging to MIND Housing on April 9 in Oxford. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £1,719.48 in compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.

Valerie Maughan, 36, of Fiennes Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting police constable Lucy Auger at Fiennes Road, Oxford, on December 3. Given a community order and ordered to pay £50 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge.

Roy Trinder-Lacey, 51, of The Row, Hinton Waldrist, near Faringdon, admitted inciting a girl aged 14 to engage in sexual activity, namely engaging in sex texting and viewing images of male genitalia, not reasonably believing she was 16 or over, between January 2 and 3. Given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Danny Barron, 42, of Clematis Place, Abingdon, admitted damaging three vehicle tyres to the value of £230 in Clematis Place on January 29. Ordered to pay £238 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £600 costs.

Andrew Lennon, 33, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted stealing two bottles of alcohol and a milk drink to the value of £13.20 from Sainsbury’s in the Westgate centre on April 29. Also admitted failing to answer bail at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on May 15. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge, £35 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.

Simone Francis, 38, of Oxford Road, Littlemore, admitted stealing D&G perfume worth £69 from Boots in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on April 23. Also admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Cornmarket Street on the same day. Fined £35, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and an £180 criminal courts charge.
