CHILDREN in West Oxford enjoyed the last days of the summer holidays by taking part in a variety of sports.
The summer-long Street Sports sessions, run by Oxford City Council, came to an end last week.
The Botley Park session saw children aged eight to 13 from the area try their hands at dodgeball, basketball and football on Thursday.
Francis Kinane, eight, said: “I like basketball and the street sports sessions because I get to learn loads of new sports.’’ The free multi-sports sessions have been running across the city since the end of July.
Kamil Adediran, 12, said: “I enjoy it and I think it’s good fun for kids.
“We sometimes get between 15 and 20 turning up.”
The programme of events came to an end with sports sessions on Friday at Cutteslowe Park and Frys Hill Park.
