Missing cat Jake is back in the arms of his Banbury owner - more than three years after he disappeared.

Jake went missing in 2004, but was found 10 miles away and identified by the Petlog microchip system. A family found Jake in Brackley and took him to a vet who scanned him, revealing his owner.

Katie Harrison said: "I can't express how happy I am to be reunited with Jake. I'll never know what he has been up to over the last three years, but I do know he is going to be spoiled rotten now."

Jake had been hanging around a family in Brackley for just under a year, and had started to sleep in their house.

The family took him to the vet where he was scanned for his microchip and identified."

Kennel Club secretary Caroline Kisko said; "Katie's story highlights how important it is to keep your details updated with Petlog.

"This is so important in situations like this and demonstrates there is still hope of seeing your pet again as long as it is permanently identified."
