A PAIR of thieves from South Oxfordshire have been ordered to carry out 125 hours of unpaid work after stealing from vehicles.

Joshua Dumbleton and Nicole Burns, both 18 from Garsington, admitted the offences at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 4.

They pleaded guilty to jointly stealing a Garmin satnav and a pair of RayBan sunglasses, and a pair of tae-kwon do gloves worth £25 from two vehicles in Tilehurst, Berkshire, on September 25.

The pair admitted attempting to steal items of unknown value from a vehicle in Goring, South Oxfordshire, on September 15 and £15 in cash from a second vehicle in the village on the same date.

Burns, of Wheatley Road, was ordered to carry out 50 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay a £60 victims’ surcharge, £40 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.

Dumbleton, also of Wheatley Road, was ordered to carry out 75 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay a total of £270.50 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge, £40 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.
