Learning disability services will benefit if Slade House in Headington is sold off.
The learning disability unit closed down in November 2013, four months after Connor Sparrowhawk died there. An inquest later found neglect contributed to his death.
Mike Petter, chairman of Southern Health NHS Trust said that the trust recognised Slade House needed to be sold and if it was, the money made would be invested back into learning disability services in Oxfordshire.
