A HEART-warming festive tale will be brought to life at an East Oxford theatre next week.

Pegasus, in Magdalen Road, is putting the finishing touches to its twist on Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol, adapted by playwright Neil Bartlett.

Ghostly visitors, jolly festive singing and a touch of Christmas sparkle is set to dazzle visitors to the theatre between Friday, December 4, and Saturday, January 2.

Pegasus artistic director Jonathan Lloyd, who is directing A Christmas Carol, said: “We’re really enjoying bringing this classic story to life. It’s got everything, it’s funny, spooky, magical and moving.

“We’re delighted to be working with Neil Bartlett who first created this adaptation for the Lyric Hammersmith in 2002. Neil worked at Pegasus in the 1980s and it’s great to welcome him back here.”
